My first HDR image that's any good. The photomatic tone mapping filter for Photoshop is both wonderful, and horrible. It can produce some really nice results, but the interface is unpleasant. You can only drag sliders, not type numbers, and though a histogram is shown, you can only edit its curves using other sliders, not by drawing directly onto it as in most curves-style commands.

However, I'm happy with the results. Two tone mappings from an HDR image made from two RAW images, both of which were severely underexposed, as you can probably tell from the noise in the dark areas. But I decided to run with it, taking the darkness of the input images to produce one tone mapping for a really moody sky, which i ten clumsily edited with some levels, a darkening gradient at the bottom, and a minor hue shift. The foreground is from a second tone-map command which brings out both the noise and the somewhat gritty textures.

I really find my attention drawn to the surreal colours in the hillside forest on the left of the building, especially as they're unbalanced on the other side of the image. However, I'm interested in comments as to what stands out nicely and not-so-nicely in this.
